Nationwide Bonus Awards
- Only participants registered online for 2009 Walks are eligible for these awards
- To qualify for any award (except Early Bird registration), all contributions & pledges must be received and/or recorded by walk day in the respective Walk city where the participant is registered.
- All awards categories are nationwide and include participants from all participating Walk cities
- Participating walk cities include: Atlanta, Birmingham, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Memphis, Orlando, San Francisco
- Early Bird Registration: Eligibility for online walk registrations only. Early Bird Walk Registration Deadline is September 16th, 2009, 11:59 PM EDT. The prize will be awarded to a single participant in a random drawing of all eligible participants.
- Highest amount raised by an Ambassador: Award will be given to the Ambassador who raises the highest amount of funds nationwide. Participant must be registered online and have contributions and/or pledges from a minimum of 5 sponsors. In the case where more than one Ambassador raises the same highest amount, the award winner will be selected in a random drawing of the eligible Ambassadors.
- Highest amount raised by a Team: To qualify, teams must have a minimum of 5 team members and collectively raise minimum $250 in contributions and/or pledges online. There must be a minimum of 10 sponsors online for the whole team. All team members must be registered by walk day. All team members in the eligible team raising the highest funds nationwide will be entered in a drawing to win this award. The prize will be awarded to a single team member in a random drawing of all eligible team members.
- Largest number of Team Members: To qualify, teams must have a minimum of 5 team members and collectively raise minimum $250 in contributions online. There must be a minimum of 10 sponsors online for the whole team. All team members must be registered by walk day. All team members of the eligible team with the largest number of team members nationwide will be entered in a drawing to win this award. The prize will be awarded to a single team member in a random drawing of all eligible team members.
- All nationwide award winners will be announced during December 2009.
- The winner will be notified by either e-mail or telephone. If no response is received within 10 business days of notification, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected. The winner's name may be mentioned on the PartnershipsInAction webpage and printed in online communications and/or newsletter.
- Please allow six (6) weeks from the drawing date for winners to be notified and prizes to be awarded
- Employees and National Committee members of AKF USA, and members of their immediate families are not eligible.
- In accepting the prize, the winner, acknowledges that AKF USA may not be held liable for any loss, damages or injury associated with accepting or using this prize(s).
- The person(s) whose name(s) is drawn as being the winner(s) of the specific prize will be required to provide identification before the prize is awarded to them. The potential winner and his/her parent or legal guardian are responsible for providing such documentation, and if not, the prize may be forfeited and AKF USA may, in its sole discretion, select an alternative potential winner.
- AKF USA retains the rights, in its absolute and sole discretion, to make substitutions of equivalent kind or approximate value in the event of the unavailability of any prize or component of the prize for any reason whatsoever. View the Fundraising Guide to learn more.
- Prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer and may not be separated and must be accepted as awarded; cash equivalent substitution will not be available.
