NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To enter our "Global Adventure" contest, complete the entry form available on the PartnershipsInAction Global Adventure webpage. You must be residing in the United States, and 12 years of age or older to enter. Only those entries that answer 100% of the questions correctly will be considered eligible to win the grand prize. Entries with 70%-90% correct answers will be eligible for the drawing for second place prize. Incomplete entries will be disqualified. AKF USA is not responsible for lost, misdirected or delayed entries. Entries received by telephone, fax, courier or personal delivery will not be accepted. 
AKF USA will select one winner from the pool of correct entries for the grand prize. Hurry and be sure to enter before midnight EST, Oct 31, 2008.

CONTEST RULES:

1.      The contest is open to US residents. Identification must be produced on request. The prize is not redeemable in cash and must be accepted as awarded.

 

2.      Employees and National Committee members of AKF USA, and members of their immediate families are not eligible.

 

3.      By claiming the prize, the winner authorizes the use, without additional compensation, of his or her name and/or likeness and/or voice/photograph in any manner and in any medium (including without limitation, radio broadcasts, newspapers and other publications and in television or film releases, slides, videotape, distribution over the internet and picture date storage) which AKF USA may deem appropriate.

 

4.      In accepting the prize, the winner, acknowledges that AKF USA may not be held liable for any loss, damages or injury associated with accepting or using this prize(s).

 

5.      The person(s) whose name(s) is drawn as being the winner(s) of the specific prize will be required to provide identification before the prize is awarded to them. The potential winner and his/her parent or legal guardian are responsible for providing such documentation, and if not, the prize may be forfeited and AKF USA may, in its sole discretion, select an alternative potential winner.

 

6.      Winners must sign an Affidavit of Eligibility, and Liability/Publicity Release as prepared and accepted by AKF USA acknowledging their acceptance and understanding of the complete contest rules, within 30 days following the date of first attempted notification.

 

7.      AKF USA retains the rights, in its absolute and sole discretion, to make substitutions of equivalent kind or approximate value in the event of the unavailability of any prize or component of the prize for any reason whatsoever.

 

8.      AKF USA reserves the right to withdraw or terminate this contest at any time without prior notice.

 

9.      Approximate value of prizes vary.

 

10.  Prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer and may not be separated and must be accepted as awarded; cash equivalent substitution will not be available.

 

11.  Limit one entry per person.

 

12.  Winner(s) will be selected in a random drawing at the Houston Partnership Walk on November 8, 2008. One winner will be selected from entries with 100% score for the grand prize. Another winner would be selected from entries with 70% - 90% score for the second place prize.

 

13.  Odds of winning are dependent upon the entrant correctly answering the questions and the number of correct entries received.

 

14.  AKF USA reserves the right to disqualify any entrants it deems, in its sole discretion, to be tampering with the entry process, operation of the Web site or any official rules. AKF USA further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the contest if it deems, in its sole discretion, that it is not capable of completion, including infection by computer virus, technical problems or force. Use of automated entry devices or any other act that could impede the integrity of the contest is prohibited.

 

15. AKF USA assumes no responsibility for entries that it is unable to process due to network, hardware or other technical failures, or for any other reason, if entries are incomplete, damaged, illegible, misdirected or lost.

 

16. The Contest ends at midnight EST, on October 31, 2008. You are responsible for determining the corresponding time zone in your respective locations.

 

17.  The winner will be notified by either e-mail or telephone. If no response is received within 10 business days of notification, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected. The winner's name will be mentioned on the PartnershipsInAction webpage and printed in the monthly newsletter.

 

18.  Please allow six (6) weeks from the Drawing date for winners to be selected and prizes to be awarded.

 

19.  Participants agree that personal data including, but not limited to, name, mailing address, phone number, and email address may be collected, processed, stored and otherwise used for the purposes of conducting and administering Global Adventure. Further, this data may also be used by AKF USA to verify a Participant's identity, postal address and telephone number in the event a Participant qualifies for any applicable prize as well as to deliver the applicable prize(s). Participants have the right to access, review, rectify or cancel any personal data held by AKF USA in connection with the Contest by writing to info@partnershipsinaction.org . If a Participant does not provide the required data when requested, that Participant's Entries will be ineligible for any prizes. All information provided will be maintained and will be used solely for the purpose of administering the Contest.
