AKF USA School Initiative Program

Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A. encourages students and community members in the U.S. to get actively involved in development education activities.  Activities help Americans better understand the scale of global poverty, its causes and most importantly, proven solutions.  Among Americans, there is a growing awareness of the serious consequences of global poverty. Poverty has proven to be one of the biggest sources of instability and conflict in the world today, and the lack of economic opportunities continues to fuel violent conflicts all over the world.

By fighting poverty and despair, we can plant the seeds for building a more peaceful world for all.  By thinking globally and acting locally, each and every one of us can make a difference in promoting peace, stability and greater security worldwide.  How can you act locally? One way is to participate in Partnership activities!
